My Wonderful Update

Hello all, Ms. Violet here.

I am happy to say with some very good news!!! Last Friday I went to see my favorite Doc C and was able to get my very last heartworm treatment! I did much better on the second and third series and except for a sore back through the process overall it went very well and I am already feeling more like myself everyday. My chest sounded great and my xrays looked good as well...that was really a relief! My cough has really subsided and may eventually be gone completely. I have put all my weight back on and am looking pretty trim and even my coat is starting to get a nice sheen to it.


I am even feeling up to flirting with the boys a bit! Now they say it is just a matter of time for me to relax and give my body time to recover. So for the next 30 days or so I will be spending time with my new foster family, just relaxing, rolling in the grass,laying in the sun, and soaking up all the extra love and attention I am getting. My foster family has a wonderful yard with a pond and ducks and chickens and I have a big ole Lab foster brother and a human brother too! My foster Mom & Dad are very kind to me and give me lots of attention.

Things here are a bit different and I am learning to live nicely in the house and even trying to play something they call "fetch' with a rope. I am still sometimes frightened by loud noises or new things, but my foster Mom helps me to feel comfortable and so I am learning and experiencing all kinds of new things. They say in another month or so that I can go in and see Doc C again for another check up and if all is well I will be able to be spayed (whew..no more puppies for me) and then I will be ready for my forever home! All I will need is to have a Heartworm check up in another 6 months or so just to make sure those pesky little worms are truly gone...after that I am on my way to a life of love, relaxation and companionship with a new "forever" family...I can't wait!

And again, I truly want to thank those of you who have continued to support me for all your generous assistance, love and prayers...I could not have made it through without all of you....I'll keep in touch...paws and kisses....Ms. Violet.

P.S. there should be some new photos coming soon...I think my new foster Mom is better with the camera than the old one was...lol....besides I am so pretty now!
